How to polish shoes when you’re in a hurry.

It’s one thing to look good, and another to look attractive (I should probably write on the disparity therein). looking good, simply entails turning up in clean fashionable cloths that fit; or cloths, in simpler terms, that fit.
A lot of factor impair our look, unknown to us. I could have the best pair of trousers that actually do fit, match made with excellent dress shirt, hat, belt but if, for example, we wear a really dusty shoe, this becomes really ugly to look at.

Not only will you win yourself a brand new sharp look, this miniature gesture may end up giving your shoe a few more years to live. I have read somewhere, and I quote, “A new pair of shoe is good, but i’ll take good care of my old pair, just so when we get to buy new pairs, i’ll have 2, and you 1”. The simplest way to achieve this is simply by taking good care of your shoe, in the smallest and simplest of ways and shortest of time through this simple steps.

FIRST, STEP 1

Wipe off dirt off the surface of the shoe whatsoever, it is this dirt when left on leather shoes that becomes embed by the leather and results, subsequently in deterioration.

THEN, STEP 2
(for suede):
Use/apply sponge over the surface of the shoe, gently enough as to not scar.

(for leather):
Remove the shoe lace, this will enable you reach all the sides of the tongue and also, not stain the lace.

(for sport shoes)
loose laces also before polish is applied, allow them to dry under nature conditions, avoid direct heat.

AFTERWARDS, STEP 3
N/B: we are focusing on leather shoes

Apply whatever color of polish you desire gently over the surface of the shoe with a clean dry cloth carefully wound about two fingers, and with an old tooth brush apply the polish over critical points (e.g points closest to the sole).

When this is done, STEP 3
By now, you must have been done with apply the polish on both shoes, if you notice, the shoe posses a bold black/brown look. it ism this time that you ‘BUFF’. Buffing requires the use of a brush, light or bristle brush to scrub the surface of the shoe. This is the final step and the most effective as it leaves the shoe with a glow. it is this buffing that gives the shoe its shine.

Finally, to give the shoe a more attractive glow, use a dry cloth dipped in water and apply gently on the surface of the shoe, just as was done with the polish after which you will buff again, but this time with another clean old cloth.

To maintain the shape of your shoe,  invest in shoe trees, if you cannot afford one, stuff the toe cap with newspaper, also shoe boxer, shoe horn extra pair of shoes help lengthen the span of any shoe.

having said this, go and shine thy shoe!!!!

Remain stylish….
