Asides from the fact that one of the major players of a man’s wardrobe are hues of brown, grey, blue and monochromes, wearing brighter tones gives room for versatility which exudes confidence and allows for more sartorial options. Find some of the guide to wearing colored pants here-under.

CONFIDENCE: Instead of further dwelling in the vast unending land of conformation, why not dare to wear brighter shades. yes, different people have different personalities and what works for one man may ultimately lead to the demise of the other. If your personality does not allow for the use of bright tones such as red, orange, green etc.. settle for subtler shades of blue after-all, the main reason for dressing up is to be comfortable first on the inside. If you are new to diverging tones, it is best you start off by focusing or mild hues, and on main components. For example, start off with green chinos and pair them with striped white shirts or even grey t shirts or black button downs.

FIT: Just like every other rule or best way to look good in any piece of clothing, picking the best fit is key. the overall gains of this cannot be over emphasized, when you are looking to wear a colored trousers, it is best that you opt for the ones that are not too tight and not too loose.

CLASSIC: For a more classic look, layer colored trousers with simple and timeless tones such as brown, grey and the monochromes. This step gradually transforms the overall outlook into a more formal one. for example, pairing yellow trousers with white button down shirts, and grey blazers or black and a convenient black men’s shoe.

TAKE A CHALLENGE: As one of the major traits of masculinity, do not think wearing colored pants are exclusive to formal dresses or proper dress up (i.e suit and tie), take a challenge and dare to layer a colored pant with Henley, tee shirts, plaids shirts, sweaters etc.. for example, a pair of red pants with a black crew neck tee shirt and a suitable black boat shoe or better still a white tennis shoe.

DO COMPLIMENT: After you have chosen your main pieces and you are ready to roll, it is best to compliment this colors, use colors that further enhances the tone of the trousers and if you fall in the class of persons that feel confident enough to wear all the bright colors there are in this world, the best you can do is to block this colors enough to not blind the person next to you. In this area, less is more.
